Art of thinking

How are we supposed to be better,
When we are gullible like children
Believing everything we see, and hear
Even without giving it a deep thought

When we are Christians but do not believe in God’s word
“No weapon formed against Israel shall prosper”
And his unconditional love
But easily believe in witch craft?

How are we supposed to get better,
When we spend every day in churches
Offering tithe, expecting wealth
As our church leaders keep brainwashing us each day,
Yet we don’t want to sweat

When we don’t believe we are all equal
Before our creator, God
For Him to speak to us directly,
Gullible enough to believe in mediators
To represent us before God?

How are we supposed to be a different generation,
When we are marrying for the money and convenience
Than love
And later the children encounter
The circumstances of our wrong choices

When human lives cost as much as a bag of sugar,
When murdering, stealing and rape are
As easy as a piece of cake?
Our minds clouded with negativity
So much hate and bias, selfishness and jealous.

How do we make a different generation,
That’s free from all social vices
When we can’t be held accountable
For the wrong decisions we make in life
That drag us to failure, poverty and death?

But instead, we look for someone to blame
Enemies, family members, the devil.

The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”

This is so true especially with religion
Some people believe in their pastors and other religious leaders more than God. So sad😞

There is so much behind tithe I just hope you understand. You need to read the bible and get it right. Ebisigadde thanks!
thank you. however, i think you too should do your research on tithe offering. youd rather give to the poor, the homeless children and the lame. than giving more to the church leaders who have enough to survive.

Live everyday like it’s your birthday.

PS. This is based on a personal experience As days to my twenty fine birthday drew nearer, I was on a roller coaster of emotions., filled with anxiety, excitement and fear the whole time. This one was a special one, I was eagerly anticipating it because I guess it’s the 1 st birthday that I’m celebrating when I’m actually in charge. By in charge I mean, I could actually afford treating myself out, a fancy cake or whatsoever I wanted to do with my life that day. The anticipation grew intense each day until D day. My birthday was okay, I had wanted it to be a lot more than merely okay, I had wanted a mind-blowing fulfilling experience (not so lavish or fancy) from those that love and care about me. I had high expectations, I wanted lots of attention, it’s like some tiny little bit of me wanted to be put on a pedestal and worshipped because it was “my” birthday. What a joke! So that long awaited morning, it rained unexpectedly, power went off too. Haha! I had a huge bea...

The price of being a man.

In my last article that I published here, a male friend commented privately that the piece left him feeling left out for it was more about empowering women hence living them out. So I was left wondering whether men do need empowerment. Later that afternoon, I met a friend  whom I asked randomly “John, do you think you as a man, you would need empowerment?” he laughed and said “I am a hard guy, men do not need such, it’s for you ladies.”, while flexing his bicep muscle to show me how strong he is. That right there is all the reasons why men need empowerment, for empowerment is not about physical strength or anything. Empowerment is meant to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights and things they believe in. The bible says God created man first, and all the other different scholars in the world of Science put man first as the significant being, the superiority of being a male being does bring a great platform that g...
